Who we are
Mapavio accounts, the Madeira1 and Azores1 websites and their apps are run by Denis.pt, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda, Estrada Monumental, Nº 277, Bloco 5, 1º E, 9000-250 São Martinho, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal ("we"). These terms apply when you open and use a Mapavio account in any of them.
Your account
You need to be at least 16 to open an account. Give a real first name and an email address you can receive mail at, keep access to your Apple or Google sign-in and your email to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. One account is for one person.
What the account is for
Signing in lets you keep trails, routes, places, tours, articles and events in each app and find them again on your other devices. The guides themselves stay free to read without an account. We may add, change or remove features, and what you saved in one app belongs to that app.
Using it fairly
Do not try to get into other people's accounts or into parts of the service that are not meant for you, do not overload it or collect its content automatically, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that does.
The information in the guides
Trail states, weather, sea conditions, timetables, events and prices come from official and partner sources and are checked often, but they can be late or wrong. Check conditions on the spot and follow local warnings and closures: walking in the mountains and swimming in the sea are at your own risk. Tours, holiday apartments and other bookings are made with the provider that sells them, on that provider's terms; we may receive a commission, and we are not a party to the booking.
Our responsibility
We provide the service as it is and do our best to keep it running and correct. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions taken on the strength of the information in it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law that protects you.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from the account screen in an app's settings; it is removed at once with everything saved in it. If we ever stop offering accounts, we will tell you by email beforehand.
Changes
When these terms or the privacy policy change in a way that matters, the apps ask you to agree to the new version before you carry on with your account.
Law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you live in the EU, you can also rely on the law and the courts of your own country.
