Who is responsible

Denis.pt, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda, Estrada Monumental, Nº 277, Bloco 5, 1º E, 9000-250 São Martinho, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, which publishes Madeira1 and Azores1 and runs Mapavio accounts for them.

What we keep

Your email address and name, the sign-in method you used (Apple, Google or an email code), the apps and websites you signed in to and when, the items you choose to save in each app, and when you agreed to the terms of use and this policy, to which version of each, and in which app. If you sign in with Apple and hide your email, we only ever see Apple's relay address.

When you sign in on a phone, the app's installation record - a pseudonymous identifier the app created on its first launch, described in the app's own privacy notice - is linked to your account, so your saved items follow you and the device can be removed with the account.

If you allowed usage statistics in an app, its events in PostHog carry your account's ID - an opaque identifier, never your email address or name - so that one person using two phones or two apps counts once. Signing out stops it.

Why

To keep you signed in, to show you what you saved on every device, and - only if you tick the box for it - to send you offers and news from Madeira1 and Azores1, such as holiday apartments on Madeira. Consent to marketing is separate from signing in and can be withdrawn at any time.

If you agree, your email address and first name are kept as a contact at Resend, in the list of each app you signed in to - Madeira1, Azores1 or both. Unsubscribing from any of our emails, or switching the choice off in an app's settings, withdraws the consent here as well.

How long

Until you delete your account, in an app's settings or on the account deletion page. Deleting it removes the account, your sign-in methods, your saved items, your sessions and your contact at Resend immediately; for an Apple sign-in the app also asks Apple to revoke its access, if you confirm Apple's prompt. Usage statistics already sent to PostHog stay under the pseudonymous identifier they were filed under.

Who else

Apple and Google verify your sign-in; Resend delivers the sign-in code email and, if you agreed, holds the marketing contact; PostHog receives usage statistics only where you allowed them in an app; and the data is stored on servers in the EU. We do not sell or share it for advertising.
